WHAT WE DO?

We create value for you as a customer in primarily two ways:

1. We make your precision engineering challenges into components, manufactured cost-effectively.

2. We provide you with feedback and advice to optimize the production within your own framework.

You get access to the know-how we have accumulated and continue to build on.
We have extensive experience with manufacturing components of all difficulty levels and virtually in all imaginable materials, in diameters down to 0.3 mm with tolerance levels down to very few micrometers.

“From my point of view, our collaboration is world class. I can call at 3:30 PM with an acute problem, show up at Koatek the next morning – and within a day we have a solution.”

Customer statement

Materials

When we work together you gain our competencies on your team. Over the years a range of customers have availed themselves of this, which has given us extensive expertise with both the usual materials as well as the more exotic ones such as titanium, monel, inconel, tungsten and ceramics.

In our efforts to solve your challenges we will go to the very limits of the possible. If that does not suffice, we will explore those limits.
We can handle all types of components, when it comes to turning, milling, laser welding and cutting, as well as electrical discharge machining items.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Turning

Our machine park today consists of approximately 45 CNC lathes.

We have at our disposal an up to date, high tech machine park with double spindle machines, CNC lathes, Swiss turns, loading magazines, gantry loaders, robot cells and more.

We can process items for you in lengths of up to 800 mm and with diameters from 0.1 up to 300 mm within tolerances of ±0.002.

Our daily workload consists of production of small and large series, including the production of single-piece series and prototypes.

Milling

In our milling department, 24 modern 3-, 4- and 5 axis machining centres are ready and awaiting your orders. Four of them are equipped with robotics. This means that we can still take shavings when the light is switched off and everyone is asleep.

All our machines are equipped with zero-point plates that ensure fast setup and a high degree of repetition accuracy.

We produce complex items ranging from prototypes to series production. And the composition of our machine park guarantees you precise items at competitive prices.

The item size typically ranges from 0.1 grams to 25 kg. X-Y max is 1 000×500 mm.

Laser welding

Laser welding is a fast, precise and high-tech method for working with items. Without laser welding we would not be able to make the micro components in the quality that today’s markets demand.

The laser focuses precisely and gives very little heat impact around the welding zone. Consequently, the function or appearance of the item is not adversely affected.

The technology does not require welding thread, and therefore no foreign materials are introduced which could compromise the quality of the item.

Laser welding is controlled via a CAD / CAM setup, which combined with the laser’s precision, gives minute tolerance levels and superior repetition accuracy.

We can laser weld in all weldable materials. And given that the laser can focus at distances up to 200 mm, welding can be accomplished in hard to reach areas.

Wire erosion

Using wire erosion, we can produce items for you with difficult or “impossible” contours. Additionally, we can work with very hard metal materials such as carbide or hardened items.

In some instances, it would be advantageous to use wire erosion instead of conventional processing. Have a chat with us about your options.

Machines

Our machine park and our production set up will be continually updated to serve the wishes and requirements that our customers have for their finished components. We have both the willingness and the ability to invest, so we are at the forefront of new technologies. This is why the machine park is up to date.

We are leagues ahead of most other providers when it comes to automation. It is one of those preconditions that allow us to compete internationally.
